Assam Seeds Corporation Ltd. (ASCL), established in 1967 is the only State Seeds corporation of its kind and style which renders its services for the development of the agriculture sector of Assam. It provides its unique services for production of all kinds of high yielding varieties of seeds to the farmers and other customers at a fair price, especially it supplies as per requirement against different schemes of Agriculture department and Govt. relief against Disaster management and natural calamities.

Assam Seeds Corporation Ltd. produces foundation seeds out of breeder seed in its own farm. Breeder seeds are procured from Agriculture University of Jorhat and from other Agriculture universities as per allotment of Govt. of India. Thereafter the corporation takes next step to produce certified seeds in its own farm.

Assam Seeds Corporation Ltd. has also been working to grow awareness and motivation amongst the farmers of Assam by getting them registered under ASSCA for production of quality seeds as per guidelines of ASSCA and under the provision of Seeds Act 1966.
